The hard way....ignore them if the issue is small.....make a noise if its big...call your lawyer if its major....a double cross can be converted into a double double cross if dealt appropriately. Anyways...it sounds like u are dealing with someone u know...u know someone else that they know...go behind their backs....get real...teach them a lesson

1. Keep your mouth shut and just igonre them.
2. Or just discourage them from taking advantage of you.
3. Be diplomatic, don't offend them but do not give them any information that they can use against you.
Also do not give them any important or secret or private information.
4. If they still double cross you just pretend with a plastic smile,
follow 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, be cordial but nice to them AND Pray that they won't hurt you.
5. If the guy is still taking too much advantage of you and is always getting on your nerves then Just show him his place ... but be prepared for the consequences !
6. The last but the best option is this (most management books suggest this approach)
a) find out whether your presumption that the guy is double crossing you is correct
b) If so, why is he doing it ? What is his motive ?
Is it for monetary gain ? Is it from personal dislike ?
Is it for some selfish motive ? Is the guy frustrated and so he is playing games ? Is the guy of the type whol likes to play pratical jokes ? what is the real reason ? Is he jealous ? Is he ignorant about your true nature that is genuine but he thinks otherwise ?
Is there some misunderstanding between you two ? etc ...

Then in 95 % + cases these reasons are easlily addressable and easy solutions possible.

Try to solve this, by taking to the guy, helping him out in some way so that he will not feel like doing any double crossing, try to develop genuine and healthy relationship (not necessarily as your boyfried) and try to see if these issues can be sorted out,
either by communicating or by some other means.

Research says in 98 % + cases these are potentially solvable problems.

If you still don't succeed just think that the situation is out of control and live with it.

The problem with double crossing is that you will not realise that till you become the victim. And by then it is already late.

Play safe with the guys and give minimum information, if you are not sure about that person.
Now Lage raho Munnabhai has brought in Gandhigiri.

Typically, we ned to avoid such people.

Be with such fellows. Learn his ins and outs. Never believe them and do not share views with.
Moving away from them would not solve the problem, they would become more dangerous.

As soon as they know that you know, you lose any advantage to recover your loss. Best to use your new knowledge to your advantage. Alow them to think you still believe in them and look for an opportunity to turn the tables because they now believe that they can trust you but you know you cannot trust them, therefore you are now at an advantage.
