I read Stephen Hawking a few years ago and a couple of others. I am looking to refresh my knowledge of the Universe and it's theories. I keep seeing a book called "The Elegant Universe" in the store. I can't handle anything too thick and stressful, light on the science jargon. I wanted a new book- something released within the past 3 years. I read today that scientists were able to teleport matter and am very fascinated.

"The Elegant Universe" and "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by Brian Greene are unquestionably (in my opinion) the best books available on those subjects. They are not easy reading, but well worth the effort. These are very complex and "strange" subjects and are difficult to simplify, but Greene does a good a job as I beiieve is possible. He covers all the subjects you mention. The first book is mostly about string theory, and is more difficult. The second covers quantum theory and especially quantum entanglement (the so-called "teleportation" yu've heard about) among other things. If you are really interested in trying to understand these fascinating subject, don't be put off by the size of these books.
