i think punk is misunderstood nowadays.. every1 seems to think that if ur a punk u have to dress 'punkish' and listen to punk music. i think thats alot of bullshit. i think punk is a lifestyle and a state of mind. i believe i cud wear a polo shirt and some khakis and be a punk. i cud listen to rap and even country and be a punk. ppl are so close minded and think they know things. u need to grow up and realize that punk is INDIVIDUALITY. and whats a poser? ne one that fits into the close minded **** i described up there. thats what a poser is. and....someone that does it all to 'be cool' and 'fit in'. do ne of u agree? and if not explain ur opinions!

Punk is defo a way of life, sometimes people don't realise that you don't even have to wear any kind of specific clothing, or even listen to punk.. see there are tons of real PUNKS that performed in "real" punk bands, they still perform live now and then, they dont have a dress code lol and if you ask them what they listen to, most of them wont say punk music..so basically once a punk always a punk..its all in the attitude, not necessarily in a negative way.. the ones that try to fit in the most are the antithesis of what punk is all about, punk was meant to be a form of free expression..freedom to the max..and nowadays unfortunately what we have is more of a circus, punks that arent really punk, they are too fashionistas to be legit punks, theres a legion of narrow minded beings that like to call themselves "punks" when in fact "real" punks are very open minded in a lot of aspects..so yeah man you can be a punk azz, wear a suit and tie and listen to classical, jazz whatever the hell music and still be a real punk.. there is something called punk jazz, and who comes to mind is Jaco Pastorius who never played in a punk band, but his lifestyle was punk in every way possible..he became one of the best bass players ever in the world of jazz ..lol of punk jazz his own invention.. he was a genius and a rebel ..all punk
