If you asked the question 20 years ago, many will say the university type. But nowadays, many (including me, an errandboy) will say the self-taught thinkers.
The world is more complicated and different now ...look most of the richest people are self-taught. the simple answer is that uni educated people are generally more LINEAR while self-taught thinkers are more LATERAL. Self-taught thinkers are likely to succeed in the real LATERAL world (though success in real world depends more on other factors than intelligence but that is another topic altogether) :)

The Imaginative self taught thinkers .As the University taught ones only know what the teachers are allowed to teach them .
