Hi, the question is; what condition are you suffering from that is causing you to scratch your skin until you damage it. may be you have a newly acquired allergy of some sort, this is what you have to sort out first. The bad news is that once pigmentation has been lost it never comes back. sorry.

If it doesn't occure over time i'd see a dermatologist. That pigment is sensitive. However you could try an OC scar cream like mederma found at CVS or even ask a pharmasis if there is one that can help, however if it's not coming back after a long time see a dermatologist there could be something going on.
My best friend who is black has had this problem she usually covers her's up.

my sister has a braided band all the way around her wrist with a butterfly on the top of the wrist so it looks like a bracelet. She said the underside was a bit more sensitive than other places. never heard of white ink myself, I wouldn't think it would show up. some colours fade quicker than others also, the lighter colours go faster than darker. My red on my rose is practically gone, but the green is still very dark.I think it also depends on your skin pigmentation. My sister is slightly darker than me because her dad was full blood native american, and the yellow on her sunflower is just as vibrant as the day she got it, and it's several years old. I think the purple on her moon is fading tho. my brother put a scorpion on the "dip" of the hand between the thumb and first finger and it completely faded. So he had a strait line cross put over the scorp and it's still there, but not as dark as it used to be.

The only thing I can think of is makeup. But you should check with a doctor about the scratching so you don't acquire more scars. Good luck.
