I don 't feel any cramps or any other pain. The bleeding is still going on . Anybody had any previous experience? FYI - I never had sex since the IUD was inserted.

Yes it is normal to have light bleeding for a few weeks after having the IUD put in (i am talking from my own experience). It will soon settle down and bleeding will stop. When my first period after having the IUD put in arrived, i had bad cramps for a few hours intil bleeding started; and the periods were heavier and lasted 10-12days. I have now had the IUD for nealy a year and my peiods calmed down and were lighter after the first 8 months. But having the IUD is the best decision i made regarding methods on contraception. You will feel normal again soon, just hang on in there! ;-)

That happened to me, too. Had spotting and irregular periods for a few months. Clinician said it was normal. If you swtiched from hormonal birth control it may be from coming off of that also. Definitely let your clinician know when you go for your check up for it.

Yeah, that's normal. Until your next period starts, you may spot off and on. Your next pd may be heavier and crampier than usual, too. I have one and sometimes my period seems to be a slow trickle for two weeks... Not even enough for a maxi pad, but just seems to go on forever.
