I've been dating an older man, late 30s, for 2 years now. We've lived together for over a year. I do all of the "wife" like duties and even take care of his 2 younger children when he's at work. He tells me he fully intends to marry me, and I know he loves me. I would never want to pressure someone to marry me, but I'm wondering... how long I should be willing to wait for a proposal?

Ever heard of that saying "Why buy the cow when u can have the milk for free"? Well essentially, u are already living a married life...minus the paper that binds u as man and wife so if things are going smoothly as it is, why rush into it? Chances are, u will end up pushing him away if u pressure him into getting married. If this is something u are unwilling to put up with then I suggest u set a time limit for yourself, as far as how long u are going to wait and stick with it.

Hi , get out now ....Don't stop at GO and don't look back . If this so called love of yours was truly in love with you . You would have had a ring and a date already , You have been pretty dumb here and let me tell you why. Your being his house keeper , baby sitter,Mmmmmmmmmmmm All the sex he wants for free . Hey why buy the Cow when the Milk is FREE. The problem is you don't respect yourself enough to even see that he is taking full advantage of your immaturity . He's knows that he got a Happy Meal missing a few fries . That why he keeps you around ... Grow up , Get Smarter and start respecting yourself . Move out today , Move back home ...... Just get out of there . He is not interested in what your thoughts or feelings are ......

what's the hurry. you love him and he obviously loves you. is marriage right now gonna change things between you two ? maybe he's saving money for the ring, or wedding. maybe he's not quite ready yet. i wouldn't ruch him yet. if you love him, truly love him you would wait no matter what. it's about the love the two of you share together not the marriage certificate.

i am married by the way. im not against marriage at all. i married my wife after only knowing her for 6 months. not everybody can take that step so quickily, others just need time. we just knew right away that we were right for each other. just take things slowly and enjoy the relationship for what it is.

what's that saying "why buy the cow if you get the milk for free."
Any serious committed relationship should have a shelf life of about 2 years. One of those 2 years you should be engaged. Where's your ring? Since you have already burnt 2 years up, and there isn't a wedding coming up....run. run away.

If he hasnt talked to you about marriage in 2 years, then I doubt he will, I would say he is trying to get what he can out of you before he moves on or finds someone else

You ever hear the phrase... Why buy a cow when you get the milk for free? I may be wrong, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that proposal.

if you are happy the way things currently are, then why rush nito anything.

maybe he is too scared to rush into something for the sake of his children, its not easy on them seeing their father marrying someone else besides for their mom. trust me on this one, they may love you tho, but he might just be trying to look after thm as much as he can.

Not a single minute more!!!!! Ask him point blank when he intends to marry you!!!! Depending on his answer: Kiss and make-up or start packing.....
