the thing is no one knows for sure what happens when we die. It pretty normal to not want to be reborn least on earth. and you right the world is full of strife. but with the bad comes the good and we try to get by the best we can. Focus on the good with your life, deal what you can with the bad things. ew can do so much. I know what it feels to be helpless but you just got to buckle down and move a head. hope for the best.

I happen to believe that with each new life comes a brand new soul, which is shaped and built over the lifetime of that person. Whether or not that soul continues to live after Earthly life is over, I don't know. It just seems to me to make more sense that each new life would include a brand new soul.
I wouldn't be surprised if every new, individual, soul gets a part of a "collective soul" (you know how you can take a little fire out of a bigger fire and light a candle with it....) to start with; but I would assume that when life is over that gets returned to the "pot" (or else maybe even extinguished).
Why - when ever living thing is unique - wouldn't souls be unique as well. Still, as living things share DNA, maybe they share some element of a collective soul somehow.
Either way, I wouldn't worry about being born again (of course, I reserve the right to be wrong about this).
-----------------------------------------
Just a note about your getting depressed about all the pain and struggle in the world: You can try to do what you can to help people in your own little world, and you can try to do what you can to maybe contribute in some way to a cause that is aimed at relieving suffering of someone beyond your own personal world. You can do that much.
You may also have to try to realize that it has only been in fairly recent times that mankind has come at least this far in terms of enlightenment and ability to do some of the remarkable things that can be done today. Consider that it was only about fifty years ago when awful things were going on in the South in the US when it came to Black Americans. In other words, whatever enlightenment and progress there is today is generally less than fifty years old. In spite of how far mankind has come, and although it is very possibly at the beginning of finally being able to solve many of the awful problems in the world, there is still enlightenment and progress needed in some things.
You have to try to believe that if ever there was a time when mankind was on the brink of solving awful problems that have plagued the world since the beginning of time, it is now.
So do what you can do, and remember that the world has every bit as much of a chance of becoming so much better as not.

Amen! I am glad someone else feels the same as I do. Who in their right mind would want to lead another life here. One is enough for me. Besides, originally reincarnation was a bad thing in Hinduism. They wanted to get off the path of reincarnation, not on it. That is why they were always trying to be born into a higher class so that they could get off it.

I think it is as much abnormal as it is to think of suicide, especially if it is not a momentary fleeting thought.
It denotes a giving up attitude. Normal people do not give up since hope lies in the uncertainty of the future.
Secondly, it shows an unusually negative attitude reinforcing and multiplying, rather than being continually doused by the positive experiences that too keep arising in our lives fairly regularly.

I understand how you feel, sometimes things happen that we cant explain or come to understand. Why there is so much suffering and violence in the world. All we can do is live our lives the best we know how. Follow God's path.

I can empathize with how you feel. I'm not going to say try and look at the brighter side because sometimes there appears to be no brighter side. Just surrender to Gods will - Thy will be done not mine - beleive me though we cannot see it there is beauty all around us it is for us to find it - read a purposeful life or Conversations with God

you come back sometimes.my wife was raped as a child of 13 brought back in hypnosis. she started talking Cherokee language. doctor called a man in N.C. who interpreted this recording. he made. of her talking. and she talked of being raped that time by a white man and made to go live in a home.to have the child.my brother told me not to tell people. but when his child started talking, he had a Yankee accent. and wonted to now about his other parents and especially his little brother.there is a spirit of god. trust in god. ask the spirit of god to come in to you. ask questions. there is a very quiet voice, if you listen with faith that spirit will answer you. go by the guidance of the spirit of god, and you will be then be doing gods will. and will go to heaven, and not be reincarnated.

I don't think you have to worry about being born again. And I think it is normal not to want to born again. I certainly wouldn't want to be born again. I would rather go to heaven.

I believe in reincarnation. The world is what we as a whole make it. They are many more dumb people than smart ones.
