do you think it's normal to not want to be born ever again. i'm not talking about the fear of the judgement day or the whole karma thing. i just don't want to be born again 'cause i've just about had it with everything that's going on in the world & no matter how happy i'd be, i never ignore the pain and struggle of other people and it makes me depressed 'cause sometimes there's nothing you can do.

thanks

We as spirits that inhabit human bodies have been given a wonderful gift of free will and choice...this holds true whether we're in a body or not. If you choose to not be reborn, you will not be reborn. However, you can change the world one person at a time. It can be done. First one you start with is yourself. You are a very deep feeling and emotional person with a big heart...why else would you care so much about the people of this world? Please remember that a lot of the struggles you see people go through is of their own free will and choice...and there's nothing you can do about that. You can choose to see the beauty of this world, or choose to see the darkness. I prefer the beauty. It can be a wonderful experience to live in this time. But no, you do not have to come back.

Hi. I DO think we are reincarnated, however I believe that we only go around until we have learned the lessons we continue to ignore. Haven't you ever met someone whose eyes are bright and deep and almost permeate your being? I call them 'Old Souls'. One can FEEL an Old Soul and sense their presence. I don't know HOW, but ya just KNOW that they have been here enough times and are back on their final run to tie up a few loose ends. That's my philosophy anyway. I understand what you mean by not wanting to come back again. Me either! I feel other people’s pain deeply as well. I find that when it depresses me, at least when I let it depress me, it means that I had better get my self out and DO something for someone else. Volunteer somewhere. Schlep an elder neighbor to the market every now and then. Send a card to someone that you KNOW lives alone. I certainly don't have a PhD or anything, but you asked and I felt compelled to answer. I am thinking you have to be a Libra because it appears that everything is heartfelt for you. (I am a Libra) I have ALWAYS felt as if I was plucked out of the sky, by accident of course (lol), and have had an overwhelming desire to go home. Ever since I was tiny, I have always thought this way. I have always felt that my philosophy was severe and ‘how sad my life was because I was an existentialist!’ I think my job is to do what is put before me on a daily basis, smile, spread G-Ds love and keep the facade until he lets me come home. .

It is known that the Egyptians believed in reincarnation or the transmigration of the soul. They thought the soul transmigrated from body to body and this was a reason why they embalmed the body in order to preserve it so that it could journey along with ka, an animating force that was believed to be counterpart of the body, which would accompany it in the next world or life. Ka might be considered equivalent to the term of soul. This establishes the dating of the concept of reincarnation back to the ancient Egyptian religion but many think it dates beyond antiquity.

The belief is thought to have been an necessity among primitive peoples. Certainly long before ancient Egypt peoples believed in transmigration of the soul. If they were not sophisticated enough to understand the concept of a soul, then they may have simply called it life. An individual or object which moved had life, and the one which did not, did not have life. This is analogous to the belief of animism. http://www.themystica.com/mystica/articles/r/reincarnation.html

This is not a matter of normality....
Anyway what you want or don't want in that aspect is irrelevant, first because nobody knows for sure if reincarnation does happen, and second, because if it does happen one doesn't have any recollection of his previous life(s)!!!!
What concern me more is your outlook at life. Life doesn't always suck, suffering is part of what we are.... Life is not always fair either. But you're not responsible for other people hardships. If you just try and help those in need around you, it is already a big step. And so maybe you'll grant yourself the right to feel happiness..... sometimes!!!!!

I don't know, I heard that people who commit suicide come back because they had unfinished business. And babies who were aborted or still born.

I totally understand. You may not be able to save the World, but you can definitely change a life.

Sometimes just a simple smile, gentle words, compassion, understanding, encouragement, and laughter can change or even SAVE a life. Those things can be Your gifts to the world. Every bit counts.

The Earth also has a lot of beauty that we tend to forget to acknowledge and appreciate.

Take a moment to smell the roses. before you leave and possibly never come back : )

I would only want to come back and live on this earth again if I were to learn how to become a better person next time around. There are a lot of people that believe that we are here to learn, and this lifetime here on earth is like one big school. I don't know if we are reincarnated in the next lifetime, but I do know for a fact that our souls do go on existing after death. My mother contacted me after her death in the form of a ball of energy and spoke to me telepathically and told me that she was ok. Now, she didn't mention where she was, only that she was ok, nor did she mention that she would return. So, for now, I'll just accept this info. and concentrate on my visit here now.

Every one has their own view on things . Your entitled to think as you want . Believe in what you want to and if your happy with your choices . Follow them. Who cares what others think .Will it change your way of thinking if I gave you every reason under the sun why your way of thinking is right or wrong?
