I have put plastic shower curtains in the wash with wonderful success. I've added bleach too, works awesome. Use the gentle cycle and hang to dry.
For cloth, the washer too, use bleach only for whites.

IS your shower curtain made from cloth or cheap plastic? If it is clotgh then just throw it in your washer on the gentle cycle. If your shower curtain is getting mildew stains around the bottom, then it is because it is not being closed after every use.

To clean a plastic curtain remove it ,then lay it on a flat surface .Spray it completely with Lysol bathroom cleaner. After 3-4 minutes pass wipe it clean with a cloth

when my shower curtain is dirty the best thing to use is mean green that stuff works great u can get it at walmart or doller general for like $3.00 try it, It will be the best thing you can use, All you have to do is spray it on.

Put it in the wash with a white towel and some bleach. It will come out clean.

i wash my plastic shower curtain in the washer. just put it on gentle cycle with cold water. don't put it in the dryer, though.

if it's cloth then just toss it in the washing machine but if it's plastic that's a pain, either spray it with a household cleaner and then scrub and rinse or toss it and buy a new one for $6...if you do decide to scrub it then you may want to buy a clear plastic one for the inside of the tub and let your fancy one hang outside of the tub...good luck!
