you ever heard of a treadmill,it was invented for that reason, now how will you feel if something bad happens for example, rape, assault, robbed, murdered, yeah it can happen even in the daytime as well however god made you(most people) smart enough to not stand in a field during a tornado/rainstorm,you sound like you could be a smart woman ,however you are not being very smart now are you

I'd be concerned about him if he's also controlling about other things, but it sounds like he may have good reason to be worried about your safety. I don't know anything about the area where you live and how safe it is, exept as you say, guys have grabbed your butt even in the day. It doesn't sound like such a safe place to be out jogging alone at night. Since the sun bothers you during the day, why don't you wear sunglasses- or find a new excercise routine you can do indoors.

I believe your boyfriend is concerned about your well being and you should be also.He appears to be the more level headed of the two of you.Do you read the newspaper, watch television or listen to the radio? It is a sick society out there and getting worse by the minute. Why would you even WANT to jeopardize your own safety? If jogging is THAT important to you, discipline yourself to get up in the morning. You will undoubtedly see a lot of other people exercising common sense as well.

nope..I often go for a run late at night..it is just more convenient to run at night rather than during the day with my schedule. plus the sun is gone so you are not as hot..just make sure you take the necessary precautions..i.e. a cell phone, stay on well lit streets and such. you have to understand your bf's fear for your safety but at the same time you cannot live in fear of bad things happening to you..just be careful

a fine line exists between wanting you to be safe and insisting you dont go at all that time of night,,to be honest,,it is good he cares but if you were single you would do it,,wouldnt you? he cant 'force' you not to go,you are still your own person but at the same time,,if something were to happen,,he would be proven right,,and for that to prove his point you have to potentially get hurt,,or worse,,come to a compromise,,see if he is willing to go with you, maybe cut your running time in half and find something else closer to home for the rest of the excercise hour,an indoor cycle,,running machine, rowing machine,,that kind of thing,,his intentions are honerable at least,,could you maybe find a running partner,,there maybe someone where you live also not wanting to go running alone.taking care does not mean not ever doing anything that may be dangerous,,it just means know the dangers,,,always take a phone with you,,vary your route if you run in a large town/city,,maybe take a dog for a walk for a neighbour,,(they may be greatful),always let someone know the way you are going and when to expect you back,it is a rough world out there but the chances are slim you will find yourself in danger but it does pay to be (forgive the pun) on your toes.

He's right. Why can't u go at least an hr earlier? I usually run very early in the morning but if I can't run for work reasons I go at night but I always ask my husband to go with me...on his bike, while I run alongside him as he won't allow me to go by myself either.
If u insist on going at 10, why not bring a friend with u or do what I do and get him a bike so he can ride along while u run.
U can also get a treatmill but in my opinion, it isn't as good as outdoor running but it's definitely an option.

It's justmemimi, justme... all right here's my cent: why would you a woman go out that late? Chances are someone - a very sick person is already observing your every move. You are now in the 21st century... there are perverts in every corner and darkness is when they can't be seen as easily. Listen to your boyfriend.. and go to 24Hourfitness instead... they have really good deals there.

If he doesn't want you to jog at night because he loves you and is so concerned with your safety, then it wouldn't be a problem for him to keep you company and go jogging with you.
Otherwise, I suggest joining a gym or getting a treadmill.

I agree with the bf. My wife likes to go out for walks and I want her home before dark. I only have one wife and I want to keep her around.
Yes, risk are everywhere, but that risk increases dramatically after dark. Way too many women are being accosted. He loves you and wishes for nothing more than your safety.
What are you going to say to him after you've been raped (or worse)? "Ahhh... gee hon, you were right." Fine lot of good it'll do you then. Safety first.
