You should definitely take this seriously. This is no matter to just flake off. If you want to see the light of day, I suggest you go to authorities and file a restraining order on him. I cannot tell you how serious you should take this. Awhile back, my friend's friend was murdered because of her psycho boyfriend. Sadly she didn't even take him seriously and she left Earth too soon. She was kidnapped from a grocery store, her car was found in a ditch. Her body was found in a water ditch. She was naked and had severe bruises to her body and was bludgeoned to the head many times. He tortured her to death. He killed himself with a bullet to the head. I wish he was caught alive so he could be tortured to death and see how it felt and kill him execution style, just like he did to her. There are some sick freaks out there, and you shouldn't take this lightly. File a complaint and get a restraining order. Call your local authorities to see about protecting yourself. Have someone escort you to your car if you can, always be alert, and don't travel at night. Just be safe and careful.

Yes, you should take it seriously. Most counties in the U.S. have victim advocacy call centers. You may want to call and they can help you as far as how you should approach the situation.
If any further emails come or he threatens you again, or if you see him lurking around your home or work place, don't doubt a second to contact the authorities.
And whatever you do, keep the message as proof.

I would take this VERY seriously. Tell his mother, father, school counselors, the local police ,ANYONE who will listen! These are ramblings of an unhealthy mind and there is a possibility YOU could be in danger!

if he sent you a message then you got the proof the law needs to put him away , its callled premeditated murder if he goes thru with it,, make a record of thje evidence where the police might better find it after he commits it,,or even better have him jailed and put away before he does it,, i like the latter myself for you,, good luck and be careful terroristic threats are no longer a laffing matter to police..

ALL threats should be taken seriously. Some protective action should be taken, perhaps notification to your local or county law enforcement.
If this is a joke, it is not a very funny one.

you should take it serious. get a copy of the message if you can. print it out. if its on the phone get it on an answereing machine tape. those little voice activted tape recorders are good for taping phone calls. they also fit in your pocket if he threatens you in person. youll need all the proof you can get before you file a complaint. even if its just writing down dates-times and the exact conversation.

Sounds like the dude is just trying to toot his own horn. However, a little caution never hurt anyone. Get someone to escort you to your vehicle when you leave work. Safety in numbers. Talk to the police, that is what they are there for.

i would say that if he is the type of guy that says these type of things as a type of joke then i would say not to think much about it but to still watch yourself when your around him. if he is the type of guy that would take action in what he said then i would say to report it to the authorities and to also have the message to show the authorities
