is the derivative of this equation ...
0.4cos(5x-pi)
this....
-0.4sin(5x-pi) * 5

It is. The answer given by the first poster is also correct, since -0.4*sin(5x-π)*5=-2 sin (5x-π), which is 2 sin (5x)

According to my TI-89, the derivative is 2 sin(5x)
