Freedom can be found in every dictionaries. But, true freedom can only be describe by one's feeling.
For me, freedom is living life without being restrained by something or someone. Living in a world without war. Doing and thinking outside traditions and cultures. Being able to speak what's on your mind. Being able to decide what you want to do with your life without anyone forcing you. That's my true meaning of freedom.

Freedom is something that is free of everything else. If one thing is attached to another then it is not free, so there must be a thing that exists free of all corporeal boundaries. The problem is that this free thing is not a thing, since anything in the material world is connected with everything else through particles, and even energy is constantly in flux with other energy systems. So this free thing would have to be immaterial, free from the material world.
The next question to ask is, does this immaterial object exist?
A thought comes to mind.

The true meaning of freedom can only be understood when viewed as the opposite of security. True freedom is possible only if there is no need for security of any kind viz. physical, emotional and spiritual.

Being free is when you have the most realistic choices possible to you in the world to do what you want both emotionally and physically. Sending unwilling children to school is imprisonment. Sending inspired and motivated children to school is freedom.
Even though our society tells us we're free, it's not true. They're bombarding us with not physical control, but emotional control, influencing us to miss out on what we truly want. Whenever you say you "can't" do something you are imprisoning yourself. Whenever someone says you can't do something, and you believe it, you are imprisoning yourself.
Do whatever you want, and you will be free.

When there is freedom, there is volition (freewill) and choice. There is a right to choose.
