For information on Yiddish literature, go to the Yiddish Book Center. They have a magazine with lots of essays on various pieces of Yiddish literature called "Pakn Treger". If you join the organization, which does a lot to preserve Yiddish literature from all over the world including rescuing books that might be destroyed, putting everything in digital form, and supporting the translation into several languages, they will send you their magazine.
