first you make applications to colleges, and then you start filling out tons of student grant and loan papers. your high school councellor should be able to tell you what steps you need to take and may even have a copy of the huge grant book if not your local library will but it cant be checked out. you have to sit there and write down names and addresses till you are blue in the face, apply for every grant that seems to apply to you, no matter how small, one of my daughters grants was only 250 dollars but that paid for her books for a semester, that was 12 yrs ago too. so you see the expenses are really high.

How can you apply to college? Just visit the college's website and follow the instructions.
How can you pay for it? Yes, you can get financial aid, if you qualify. You can also get student loans, do work-study (working on campus in lieu of paying tuition), get a part-time job and take classes part-time, get a scholarship, ask your family members for assistance, or sell stuff you don't need anymore on Ebay.
