The highest individul score in a Test Innings was made by Brian Lara of West Indies against England in the 4th Test of 2003/04 at Antigua Recreation Ground, St. Johns, Antigua. He scored 400 runs not out in that match with the 43 fours and 4 sixes.

However, the maximum sixes and fours in an innings were scored by M.L. Hayden of Australia against Zimbawe at W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth inthe Southern Cross Trophy in which he scored
380 runs with the help of 38 fours and 11 sixes
