I have a 5 year old that just started Kindergarten in the public school system. I believe that is by far the worst thing any parent could teach. I will always teach that people are individuals and should be treated as such. I also have the pleasure of having friends of different backgrounds and races, that have children her age that we spend alot of time with, so I believe it will be easier for me, because she'll see first hand that there really aren't differences.

Parent's shouldn't teach their kids about skin colors becasue what's more important is the inside of you and not the outside of your looks or skin colors. Everyone should be treated equal...I hope but yeah...If a person who is from a different country or speak a different languages doesn't make any different from you!! Just get along with people and everything will be just great!!

The color of a persons skin makes no difference. My kids knows no difference, see's no difference. Both, on the first day of Pre-k, after they got home I asked them questions about their day. How many boys, how many girls, what they did. Just out of curiosity, to see how they would answer, I asked how many white kids, how many oriental, how many black, when I got to that question it was the last I couldn't ask any more, they both answered the same way, "No black kids, but a couple of chocolate ones" They had never heard the term black, we used African-American, so they didn't know black.

Absolutely not. I grew up in that atmosphere and I didnt believe it then and I certainly do not believe it now.
I have many years of bible study behind me and many years of study in front of me.
My children learn from the same book i do, and skin color does not matter in any part of Gods message.
What matters is the heart, if a person has a heart for God and his will and his way, that is the person I want my child to associate with, bond with, work with and Love with.

Its not important. I am a black/indian and my husband is irish american/german. 6 months ago we adopted a very pretty baby girl and she is black. we love her no matter what her skin color is. she could be green but she will still be our little girl. my parents and my husbands parents taught us that it is not the outside that counts but it matters what color they are on the inside and who they are on the inside. i use to joke all the time that my family was the rainbow collition because my bother is married to a girl from hondurous?! and my other brother is married to a girl from togo, africa and my sister is dating a guy while she is stationed in london. so no skin color does not matter. you learn more about people when you branch out.

Well, since you're including 'future' parents, I'm allowed to answer.
And my answer is that I would not teach that to my children, because skin colour does NOT matter at all.

Emphatically no - I would teach them quite the opposite. In fact, it's not even an issue I would deem necessary to discuss with my kids unless they asked me about it.
What a sad question
