The series is still going on in Japan and so far there is no talk of an end in sight. They are around book 48 now and since we are only at soon to be 27, it will be awhile.

Get in the car
Drive to the nearest decent bookstore
Head straight to the anime section
Grab the last book
Read until eyes fall out

The series isn't finished yet[ they're at chapter 476 as of this week] but if you would like to read some recent chapters , here is an excellent site
