This is bit of a 'sticky wicket' as the British say. Was the divorce bitter? If so, then stay away. But no matter what, stay at arms length. The last thing you need or want is problems with your brother. Family first. Bros before ho's.
Could she have an ulterior motive? Maybe she want's to hook up with you. Not good. Could be that she just wants to keep her foot in the door. Still, not good.
I've had several of my buddies wives hit on me before. One of them did it after they were divorced. Even though we both were single (at the time), I never took the bait. I have been friends with my bud my whole life and hooking up with an ex or old gf would destroy a sacred friendship. That is one line I won't cross. I've seen this crap enough on Springer.
Be cordial to the ex, but keep your distance. Don't get suckered in.

Well, I don't think it's a bad thing, as long as your brother can be mature enough to handle the friendship. If not, then I don't see where you can do anything but take your bro's side. It can get too complicated if he doesn't agree with it. But, are you sure she wants to be friends, and it's not just a way to stay in your brother's life?

Depends on how acromonious the divorce was.
If it was ok, then make sure that some boundaries are set, for instance tell her you wont be a conduit for information about what your brother is doing now, re:dating etc.
If youve always been good friends its a shame to lose that, just make sure its about you and her, not you, her and him

I think its ok to still be friends. I'm still friends with some of my brother ex's. Just don't get involve with what happen with them and you will be ok.

Ask your brother what he would like you to do. If he's ok with it, fine, but if he's not ok with it, you might wish to not do so; at least until he has found someone else to love.

you can be friends as long she is not using to get back to him or to send him messages...talk to her straight and tell her that you can be her friend but no comments about your brother

Stay loyal to you brother but bang her first and treat her very dirty. Call it revenge for your brother.
