It is your kindof music, that u'd like to hear, that can take you to colourful horizons and make u imagine things that u may only have dreamt about, thae kindof music that would make u go mad with untold desire and longings, the kindof music that u can only think of as personal-at the same time universal, it is ur preferred kindof music that defines u, ur persona, ur happiness, ur frustrations. Ur musical taste is nothing but YOU.

I don't know about the term itself but I know that someone that has taste to me has a history of knowledge stored when they talk about music. Speaking versus someone that just sings along with something they can if you will "geek out" about the methods the musicians are using, understand the meaning behind songs, and know not only an artist for genres but who influenced them and in turn who influenced them.

Generally people that have musical taste generally like music so much they don't generally have CD's or audio files of just one style of music but have a library with different sections of stuff and can't see why other people don't as well. Generally someone with musical taste can play an instrument or knows enough about music to know when something is out of key, tune, or pitch. Or if they don't know the previous they know even more on history and causation of artists than people that play.

Often people with taste nowadays are labeled as "music nazis" because often taste means acquiring "a taste" and often outgrowing something simple for something more complex. Generally people with musical taste often like jazz or classical because of their complex timings and rhythms but is not always the case. People may also said to have taste if groups of people time and again ask that person what to recommend in different styles. Generally music is such a commercialized thing in this day and age it is rare to meet people that know a lot about music before the 1960's or 1950's when recording started to become more commercial with the advent of television and mass marketing.

most of us would say whatever rocks your boat but if you ask most people they will tell you they all have a wide selection of music they like as mood comes into it as well
