Well I already have a BS in business and have a job but it's kind of a dead end all around. I get more responsibilites, I got flat turned down for a raise, and am not getting the help I was promised. So I am thinking of going to go to school for getting a lot of certs, A+, network+, MCSA or going to school for another BS or AS in a computer field since I never get a degree in computers. So what do people think from the real world out there?

As a general rule, a degree is better for entry level and career change. A certificate works for career enhancement and continue education.

But given that you have some work experience already, you may try taking some courses in community colleges just to find out if you like the field. If so, then find an appropriate entry level, programming job for example, while you work toward a degree. If you already have some basic computer knowledge and experience, you may want to consider going for graduate programs rather than undergrad.

I found those who switch their career into IT without a degree are often denied to join top-tier companies or unable to move up in their organizations.

Best wishes.

That relies upon on the college. some universities even furnish online levels. i'm attending Utah State for a BS and certification in Dietetics, yet on the tip of this semester whilst my husband and that i circulate out of state i'm going to be switching to their online psychology degree. Its somewhat in basic terms the comparable as their conventional psych degree, yet its online. a superb form of universities furnish distance training instructions online, some even furnish an entire degree online (like USU). Dr. Christophers college of organic healing is authorized in the state of Utah (my mom did their grasp herbalist software). Its not a level in spite of the undeniable fact that, its extra of an herbalist certification, that helps you to declare your self as a grasp herbalist (in utah). They action picture the instructions and you organize them and watch them at homestead and fill in booklets and stuff. you won't be in a position to coach dietetics and not utilising a bachelors degree from an ADA licensed college (you an call your self a nutritionist, yet you won't be in a position to call your self a dietician), plus there is an added 2 years for the certification instructions and examination (yet there's a software that helps you to comprehensive the extra 2 years on the comparable time because of the fact the bachelors). i don't understand of something that helps you to do this online, considering there's a ludicrous quantity of chemistry (labs).
