My "best friend" well he lies to me all the time. He has interferred with my relationship because he doesn't like my boyfriend. Now he is actually destroying himself at work but yet he thinks that i am falling for all the lies that he is telling me constantly. He lies all the time and i have tried to say something to him but whenever he asks like what im completely at a dead end. I honestly don't want to be friends with him anymore i don't know how to tell him. He's constantly lying to me though, how could anyone be freinds with someone who continuously lies i can't do it anymore he's been lying to me for 9 1/2 years and he says so much about other people that i wonder what he says about me. Me and my boyfriend are still going strong so thats not the issue. Im just wondering how to tell him that he needs to quit lying without sounding like a b*tch and i want to make sure im not wrong in wanting to cut him off. please help. i feel like a b*tch because im cutting him off am i?

You're not a *****, you're actually quite caring and compassionate, much more so than I would be in the same situation! Explain to this guy that you can no longer tolerate his constant lying, and for this reason, you see no other option than to distance yourself from him, until such time as he decides to start being honest. Friends like that seldom want to listen, those kind of friends are the worst to cope with. Meet him out for lunch, talk with him and have fun. If you still find the friendship worth sustaining, talk to him. If he interrupts, say this, "Listen to me and don't interrupt, or it could cost our friendship. I mean it."

You aren't a b*tch for cutting him off. If he calls you a b*tch, what kind of friend is that? If he is willing to change, it'll be up to you whether to accept it.

maybe his lying is due to that he likes you but can't tell you because of the friendship. if that is not the case then speak to him seriously and let him know your feelings if that does not do it then find a better friend.

u keep ur friemdship for 9 1/2 yrs. for what bcoz i want him. realize ur feeling for him, understand urself first and then talk with him. if u feel u r ok in ur side tell him what u feel and make a dicision.
