A cashier's check is a guaranteed check from your bank.
You simply walk up to your teller, tell them you want a cashier's check for X amount, and if you have the funds to cover it in your account, they make you a check.
It is guaranteed because they IMMEDIATELY withdraw the funds from your account...so there is no way the check can bounce.
Hope that helps.

Hi Sallu, Cashier's check you purchase at your local bank. If you an account with the bank, you can have them draw the money out of your account for the cashier's check. If you don't have an account, you will have to pay cash for the cashier's check.A cashier's check can be cash anywhere. That's why when you buy something from a person not a store, they will tell you to pay with a cashier's check. That's what a cashier's check is.

It's a check issued by a bank . You go to the bank and ask for a cashier's check and pay for it out your banking funds. It's more expensive than getting a money order. The payment is guaranteed by the bank, not your personal checking fund. Last time I checked the fee was $20.00 here.

you go to your bank or any bank and give them your money and they make you out a cashiers check instead of a money order. This is the best way if you are moving to a new city or state to transfer the money to a new account or to pay for a very expensive item like a home. you need to have them to make a carbon copy of this because it does not come with a copy for your records. If transfering money to a new bank a letter from the bank is usually necessary.

Cashier check is a money order that you could buy at the post office, your bank.
So the check most likely legit and not a blank check, because you bought it first from the post office/bank/western union and they issue the check with receiver name written on it and also have the sender name.
There's also a fee for it, depends how much you will send.
Good luck!
