the first movie that shahrukh khan did was called "in which annie gives it those ones" - it was written by arundhati roy who was an architecture student at that time in the SPA (school of planning and architecture) at new delhi. SRK played the title role of Annie, a student who keeps getting into trouble with his SPA studies, principal, hens and what not! Incidentally, Arundhati Roy plays the role of his girlfriend, and can be credited as his first heroin! The movie was made for Delhi Doordarshan and shown on TV in the late 80s.
He starred in the hit serial Fauji after that.
His second movei was called Ahmak, (Also knows as "the idiot") and was made for Bombay Doordarshan. he stars in that movie along with Mita Vashisht.
He signed up for Hema Malini's "Dil Aashna Hai" and after that for "Deewana". The latter was released before the former.
What you consider the "first" depends on your definition. It could be "In which Annie gives it those ones" if you have the widest possible definition. His first commercial signup was "Dil Aashna Hai" while his first commerical release was "Deewana".

Deewana which also starred Late Divya Bharati (A stunning actress who died young) and the evergreen Rishi Kapoor (One of his last few movies in a career that spanned over 25 years). This movie also had great music and was a big hit.

Deewana. We remeber that movie more for Divya Bharati then Sahrukh. He then was the guy who acted in the TV serial Circus.

shahrukh has started his career by television....his 1st serial was 'Fauji'........then 'circus'...etc.
then he started his career in film line with Divya bharti...his debute film was 'Dil Ashna Hai'...that was woman oriented movie so he was not much noticed....that was directed by Hema malini.....he got fame by Baazigar...
