I know why I do, because if I brake too hard the seat on my passenger side flies forward because it is broken... LOL only when I am alone and that is almost all the time
another reason why is because most people hate stopping, including me
one time I got a ticket for going through a yellow light that the officer said was red... he was full of horse biscuits but that doesn't matter now
if was almost a five hundred dollar ticket and it was three days before Christmas... talk about a damper on the holidays...
I almost always slow down and usually stop if at all possible I learned my lesson et? I just hope that the as s hole behind me sees that I slow down and doesn't give me a good whack from behind cause he is f u cking with his radio or something

Probably to get through that red light. Sometimes , stopping at the red light , you can be there for ages. I would rather speed up at the Yellow light and go thru it. However , if I think it is dangerous I will stop.

It really means prepare to stop!!! if you are in the intersection and it turns yellow your good but if you are coming up to it and it is yellow and continue to cross it.It is a ticket if you are caught...
I don't....I'm not in no hurry and seen to many intersection accidents and have almost been killed by people trying to make it across or running the red light...Even when it is green I still look around first to make sure it is clear...that has saved my life at least 4 times...someone ran red...so now I am in no hurry....

yellow lights in general mean "caution". I assume at an intersection it means "caution, the light is going to turn red here in a sec so choose or lose, dude"
but thats just me.
I guess it depends on the traffic and your mood as to if you speed thru it or slow down upon approach.
Most people are impatient and rude...so they race on thru.

We're very competitive as a society. We believe that where we have to go is way more important than where anyone else on the road is going. The objective is to not be put back by the yellow light. Rush it. Pass it. It just might put us two blocks ahead of everyone else who is behind us...

because if it turns red while you're still in the intersection you can get a speeding ticket for running a red light ... surprising, but I know people who it's happenned to. I always speed up.

According to the lady at my vet who got a ticket for zooming a yellow light, the cop thought she should have stopped. What's a frickin' red light if I gotta stop at red and yellow lights. Does GREEN still mean GO? Or is it a junior red light too?!?!?!
Are you some old lady copper?

not in texas and what's worse red means if you're within 100 feet you can keep going. if i'm the first car in line and the light turns green i expect 2 or 3 cars to go through the red light and look and look and look cuz i know they're going to run it.
