I think it depends on your anatomy. Everyone is different. I can pee standing up, but I would need a shower immediately. The urethra is located at different depth in the vagina, so if yours is close to the opening give it a try.
If you are concerned about public toilet seats you can squat and this works for most of us.

I once saw an article in a People magazine that was promoting a new range of jeans someone was trying to release for girls that had a zipper directly under the crotch to enable girls to do exactly that - pee standing up at a urinal....hahaha I thought it was pretty funny at the time. I'm guessing it never took off...

Yes girls can pee standing up, providing no clothing is in the way. And no girls cannot pee through a zipper without a funnel (wonder if it would work....if anyone tries it, please let me know lol)

Yes we can, just need to use your fingers to aim, otherwise it runs down your legs. No, not through zippers, you need to at least get your pants and panties out of the way

Everything can pee standing up. You would just get pee all over the place. As for the zipper. Sorry wrong angle. Look at an anatomy book for that one.

I can urinate standing and not dribble a drop.

Yeah we can. It's fun to go to the mens room and use urinals, but I think most guys think I'm a transvestite anyway

Yep, I've witnessed it...at a urinal (and no, she wasn't a lady-boy from Thailand). She just pulled up on her private parts and it streamed into the porcelain.
