When my husband and I met, he was nice and always smiling. Now my husband is verbally abusive. One day he "loves" me and the next day he wishes we never got married. I guess you could say I was his mid-life crisis. We are 14 years apart and he is set in his ways. We have a 1yr old and he gets upset when the baby has his toys all over the room. This marriage has been rocky from the first day we got married. He used to try to make me go to bed when he went to bed. He would walk through the house and turn out the lights and the tv that I was watching and say lets go. I have prayed and things got a little better. He tells me jokingly yet seriously that he would rather pay child support than stay married. My main problem is I go to school, and work full time, (he doesn't help with our child) and I can't manage to keep the house clean. So he's pissed about that. That's the root of it. I've tried and I can't juggle it all.

Leave him sweety and let him pay child support if that is all he is concerned with.
1. he is too moody, counseling may or may not help, its worth a try.
2. he is verbally abusive
3. he is not taking care of you as a husband is supposed to do
4. he is an *** if he thinks you should be able to go to school, work, take care of a baby the few minutes you are home and clean the house.
5. counseling, give him the opportunity to change and then if he won't......kick him out the door.

good luck hun. Sometimes being a single parent is easier than being a wife to a jerk.

I'd say just hang in there until you get done with school and can leave him. Either that, or try talking to him about how you feel. I guess that if you want to make him happy, and not be concerned about YOU having time for YOU, then instead of watching tv at night, clean house. I know I wouldn't though. Guys can be totally insensitive. He may not even realize he's acting the way he is. I usually find that giving him what he's giving takes care of it. And then say you were just trying to act like him.

If hes not willing to help out an he makes dumb jokes hes not worth it. Verbal abuse and mind games are as bad as physical abuse and is just as scarring trust me i know one eg. my ex slept around i said its over he said you canl leave cos of the kids and you are my soul mate then proceeded to sleep with the next skank. 2 yrs later im happily divorced lol an just into a new relationship.....and as for the kids better going back an forth to 2 happy homes rather than being in one miserable one. At the end of the day only you know if you want to stay in this situation no one can or will make you leave ,only you know if you are content within yourself or if you want better for you and your child

Marriage must have LOVE, RESPECT and COMMUNICATION. If you failed to communicate everyday even just simple things.. relationship will turn to sour..

Be the first one to initiate that..You need to talk to your husband and knows what is inside of him to better understand why hes been like that...

Theres is nothing more important in relationship than communication.. The more you communicate the better you understand one another..You cannot both guess what is with each other mind. If you just keep the thoughts inside you, and him doing the same way..

Learn how to express it.
