Of course! Why should you ever let anyone (like me or anyone else) tell you who you should be attracted to? Define yourself, never let others do it for you.

To be honest and let us be realistic about this, it is POSSIBLE for an athletic populat guy be attracted to a shy overweight girl.
There is a saying that OPPOSITES ATTRACT, and this could be one case of that saying.
However, both will go into a relationship, a lot will depend on their perspective in life and their maturity levels, because of the extreme opposite surroundings and behaviour each one has.

People are different and sometimes what we see can really confuse in reality. But maybe he wants find out how is to do something with fat girl. Be careful don't give yourself until you get married if this is attraction or for real.

Yes fell free to date anyone.I was in the same position but I'm a girl and a cheerleader.I just fallowed my heart.Just don't make the same mistake as I did don't leave her or not like her because somebody else doesn't like the idea.

yes, just because a male is popular or athletic doesn't change how he may feel about someone, this does not make him any better and by no means any more attractive.
