Wow, that's news to me because my Grandpa putting off remarrying because of that, and when he found out that he and his bride could keep their ss checks, they got married. If they take it away after saying they won't, that's bull sh!t.

I get disability, I got married, his income is rather high, I still get disabilty check. His income did not make my illness go away. I do however now pay taxes on my disability income
but if your disability check is because one of your parents has the disability then the childrens check would stop when they get married or turn 18.

No. It is not right. People who are on Disability for some reason,
are NOT getting rich off the government!! In fact, the people I
know who get it, are BELOW the poverty level. So, you tell me..
Why can't they just be able to keep the lousy little bit of scratch
money,..and still be married ? I don't want to have to be able to
depend on a man for my livelyhood. I want to be able to have my
own money, to choose to help pay bills, or whatever. Why do
people want to down someone else because they can't work ??
What kind of people are you ? I have never downed girls on
welfare, or anyone else. I have payed my taxes all my life & I
don't complain. Just realize there are alot of really ill people who
need that help. Stop begrudging them. They have it bad enough.
There are flaws in our system everywhere....so who is going to
fix that ?

Yes if the married income is over the limit. The public pays disability from their taxes and we don't want to keep paying more taxes just because you people want the money
