Firefox
Evidence:
Compare each browsers patched and unpatched holes, make sure you also compare how "critical" these holes are to each browser. The conclusion is that no browser is perfect, but Insecure Exploder is the least secure browser you can be using.

United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone security model,...ActiveX (etc)...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

PcWorld Magazine:
"...a virtual engraved invitation to hackers and other digital delinquents, Internet Explorer 6.x might be the least secure software on the planet"

One thought for the road:
Incontinent Exploder supports web standards very poorly. This means that because of over 80% of users use IE, then web developers have to downgrade their websites to work properly in IE. So when superior browsers such as Firefox or Opera browsers view a website, it sometimes does not show up correctly because the website was "broken" to show up properly in IE. Try the test yourself using IE, Firefox and then Opera.

Insecure Explosion consistently rates less secure than Firefox and Opera

Ever when you consider that Firefox 3 got here out, it really is been the lead browser contained in the total historic previous of the web. (properly, internet Explorer continues to be the most properly-conventional) a million. I easily have used Opera and no, it really is not the fastest internet browser. It lots pictures slow, and it has that extraordinary jap flag (the white container with the pink circle) earlier completely loading up the image. I hate that. It would not use that little memory. when you consider that FF3 got here out, the memory utilization has decreased by skill of an awful lot. Firefox has way better ideal homes, with the extra upload-ons which will truly make it the perfect browser obtainable. 2. Firefox makes use of a lot less memory. it really is likewise swifter. 3. Opera isn't besides-conventional as Firefox, so as that stands proud as the reason why they don't use it. also because Firefox IS the finest browser, no longer Opera. (No offense.) 4. Uh, sorry. i do not realize the question. i'm only thirteen 5. No comprendooo. even although each and each of the questions I responded (3/5; :P) look siding with Firefox, which became the purpose, i'm speaking as a independent prevalent internet surfer.

IE 7 has tabs. I been using it for about 2 weeks now and I'm getting less spyware now then when i used firefox. Microsoft has drastically improved with the release of version 7. all the things the firefox users are bitching about are gone, all the things they say the like, like tabs, (sorry but IE's tabs are llike opera's which are better than firefox's) RSS feeds and way better security.
I have three browsers on my system, IE 7, firefox and opera. I have to say fuctionally, I like Opera the best, it has features that the other two haven't even dreamed up yet. Opera was the first broswer with tabs. The wand is my favorite feature that i wish the other 2 would hurry up and steal from opera. when filling out a form you've done before, you just hit two keys and presto the whole damned form gets filled out. also they have form data that appears in your right click menu so you can paste in your name, address, email, etc anywhere you want. The only problem I have with opera is You encounter a lot of pages that don't come out right.

I like Firefox for several reasons.
1. Firefox has tabs - so you open open a link in a new tab instead of a new window. All the headings are listed on one window. It makes it easier to 'bounce' between web pages especially when searching. You can be loading several pages off of a search at one time, then go from tab to tab to find the page you want. It's much esier than opening in a new window or hitting the back button.
2. Fewer viruses written for Firefox as opposed to IE.
3. It is easier (for me, anyway) to customize the browser. Lots of easy icons on the toolbar for cut, copy paste, etc.

Firefox all the way.
Just having the tab option speeds up your net surfing. and the limited IE just doesnt cut it anymore.
if you havent got Firefox, give it a try. it has all the internet options at your reach, so you can delete history etc quickly.
it also has many add-ons that make it awesome.

For now fire fox is slightly more safe to use for browsing, this however does not mean it is best for browsing. Most people really don't understand that in website development there is no universal standard. Most Browsers can handle most HTML code. But I have found that IE handles a lot more websites than almost any other browser out there. Fire fox can do quite well, but it certainly has its limitations, and when you meet one of them, it really sucks. For the average user who tends to not go around poking their noses in places they know they shouldn't, IE is plenty safe, and more universal than any other browser (including Fire fox and Netscape). If you have a descent spy ware filter, firewall, and virus blocker, you should have few to almost no problems with regards to security using any Web Browser.
