i believe it was james madison who said, "no government can stand without the support of its people" basically we have to get the people elected who we think can make things better.

The whole point of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms was so that or government would always be kept in check by The People. That's exactly what the Founding Fathers feared most: a totalitarian government. That's why it's our duty as good Americans to stay armed and vigilant (not vigilantyism, mind you) to let our government know that We The People are the ones in charge, and not the other way around. Unfortunately, too many Americans expect the next guy to do something, rather than risk prosecution or death in the cause of freedom. Freedom is never "free."

It already has turned against it`s people, and everybody else`s people too. The freedoms we once had are diminishing at startling speed. I hope we can reverse the juggernaut before it`s too late. It`s becoming reminiscent of Orwells paralysing vision in his book "1984"
