I was introduced to a man, who I have fallen deeply in love with. He had to have been made just for me. My problem is when ever he comes over I get fleas in my apartment. (he has 4 dogs). I don't have any pets. I have flea bombed 3 times this summer since I met him. We have talked about this problem once. What can I do? I love him, but can't stand the bugs. I rarely go over to his place because of the Fleas.. I can't give up our relationship and I can't tolerate the fleas. How can I handle this problem. Please help

Tough problem...
First, get some Frontline from the vet and apply it to those poor pups! They are suffering, and if he truly loves them, he'll see that what you're doing is best. Frontline is expensive, but it works wonders with fleas.
Second, you're going to have to exterminate the place. If he rents, you can tell him that he's going to have to do it because if his landlord finds out about the infestation, it's going to cost him a lot more. Most veterinarians also carry a "fogger" that can treat houses and yards.
As long as there are dogs that aren't getting flea prevention in the house, there will be fleas.
And a word to the wise... don't buy the cheap flea meds at the store (hartz, zodiac) I see several emergencies each year with animals that have been treated with the stuff. It kills them and does horrible damage to their nervous systems.

Go over to his house put his dogs outside or take them to the park and bomb his house. Then give his dogs a flea bath or if you have the money take them to the groomer and have them flea dipped. Then when the house is safe take the dogs inside and bomb the yards. Go the vet and buy Advantage or go to the feed store and buy something equivalent and put it on the dogs according the the directions(usually on the back of the dogs neck). There's some flea spray for the house and yard called ADAMS Flea Spray that works excellent, you can use that to keep the fleas away. Good Luck

they make something to kill the fleas on his dogs...it's called advantage....have him see his vet...although 4 dogs is gonna cost the man some buck....prolly $13 a shot...but if it gets rid of the fleas...he also needs to bomb his house.....but first has to take care of the source..the dogs....maybe his yard needs to be sprayed too...fleas live in the sand of a yard....

Offer to take the dogs for a flea dip and to bomb his house and yours at the same time. If this isn't done all at once, the fleas will just keep traveling around. If he really likes you, he will welcome your help.

My vet gave Tatum a pill yesterday that killed all her fleas in one day. It cost $5. So that's $20 for him. Then you put boric acid (near roach spray in store) on carpet and sprinkle sevin dust in yard. Then stay on top of it! They sell frontline at the vet for maintainence.

just tell him say hey sweety i am glad you love your dogs but please get them a flea and tick shampoo to bathe them in cause these fleas are making me sick .also tell him about advantax flea and tick removing gel for dogs..

He needs to get all his dogs on the shot and bomb his place. Those shots work better than any other method.
