there was this movie I watched when I was younger and I dont remember it perfectly but basically there was a town it looked like the countryside I think maybe in Europe and there was this guy who everyone in the town thought of as a monster,beast or just horrible guy and there was this young girl who befriended him and he taught her how to play the piano or violin something like that and he became this really nice wonderful guy because of this girl but then at the end the father of the girl sees them together and thinks the man is going to harm his daughter and he shoots him.......does any of this sound familiar???? please help!!! I think the name is something like 'rigatello' but Im really not sure

It might be Rigaletto. In that movie, the "beast" gives the little girl voice lessons and the town ransacked his house and practically killed him in the end. It was really sad.

I am picturing a movie with Mel Gibson who isolated himself because of his disfugured face- I don't remember if it was due to an accident or a disease. No, that is too Beauty and the Beast. Anyway, I wish I could help or remember the name of this movie.
