It is safe to have a tooth extraction as long as the dentist knows that you are pregnant and then he could change types of anesthetics used.

I wouldn't see why not. The numbing medication (forgot the medical name for it at the moment) is not strong enough to effect the baby. But, if your tooth is extremely loose, they may not have to use any meds at all. A friend of mine didn't have any when they pulled her tooth and all she did afterward was take a couple Tylenol.

They say the second trimester is the best time to get dental work done, but they definitely recommend that if you have a dental problem, you take care of it, because the bacteria that cause gum disease, etc, can cause miscarriages, preterm labor, low birth weight babies, etc. Just tell your dentist that you're pregnant so he doesn't give you anything that's dangerous for the baby, and let him tell you when it should be done.

You should be just fine I had two teeth pulled when I was pregnant, as long as the tooth isn't infected, if it is ask your dentist about it.

YES.... BUT YOUR DENTIST WOULD TELL YOU ANYWAY... YOU CAN NOT GET ANY X-RAYS THOUGH, SO IF THEY NEEDED TO SEE THE ROOTS OF YOUR TOOTH THEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT..
