I can relate, seriously, I can. I'm in the same situation. I am depressed all the time, for different reasons but still depressed. But for the msot part, our situations sound exact- what I do is just not try to make friends, just be by myself, only focus on my family and myself and dont care care about school really , I mean I do the work and stuff but school is not a major part of my life right now. It will be later but not right now. I dont like my school so thats why I act like I said.
Sorry that was long and confusing. Good luck =)

well its hard being a teenager, all the hormonal changes can affect your mood. But depression is a real illness, you should go to the doctor and explain how things are ...only a qualified doctor can make this diagnosis correctly, not yahoo answers.
Depression can be caused by an imbalance of chemicals in your brain, so its not the persons fault. Its an illness just like any other disease and your doctor, if he/she thinks that you have depression can discuss ways in which to help. This may be medication (the newer meds for depression dont have the horrible side effects they used to years ago, and can really help) or counselling. Exercise also helps - why not take up a new sport or if you prefer to do something alone cycling, jogging, going to the gym all help boost your mood.
I really hope you do go see a doc tho, there's no reason you have to suffer alone and teen depression is now a recognised illness also.
good luck :-)

Hey there... the fact that you are so self aware is a very good thing; most people dont know they are depressed. I suggest you find someone you trust to openly talk with about how you feel. If you are bored then maybe you should try some new activities. I remember when i was in 3rd grade elementary school and I felt the same way. I started to play piano and expressed a part of myself that I didnt know existed. It was the only thing that just made sense. i hope you motivate yourself to find an enterprise for youself that you enjoy. that should occupy your mind to the point that eventually you will not know what being bored is like.

Your teenage years are a time of intense change and uncertainty, and to be confused and disappointed sometimes is absolutely normal. But teen depression can prevent you from enjoying and benefiting from these years.
Individual therapy, group therapy and antidepressants can help.
Counseling
Seek out regular counseling. Many teenagers find talking with a school counselor helpful, but clinical depression often calls for the help of a mental health professional who has experience working with depressed teenagers. Your doctor can recommend a counselor. A combination of individual and group therapy (with your family) is usually the most effective method of depression treatment.
Antidepressants
In addition to individual and group therapy, mental health professionals may also recommend the use of antidepressants to help treat teen depression.
Antidepressant medications are not "uppers" and they are not addictive. When depression is so bad that you can't focus on anything else, when it interferes with your life in an overwhelming way, medication, in addition to counseling, might be necessary. You may only begin to experience the effects of an antidepressant after several weeks of treatment, so don't get frustrated if you don't "feel better" right away. And one medication may work better than another; so talking with your doctor frankly about what you are experiencing is important.
The best depression treatment is communication. Talk to someone! When teenagers and adults are depressed, they often feel that something is terribly wrong with their life. Whether you are right or wrong about that, the right person can help you understand what's going on inside you. Talk to your school counselor, your family doctor, or your youth pastor.

Listen, I know this is going to sound cliche, but think happy thoughts. Put yourself in a better mood. play some fun music. Watch a funny movie or some funny cartoons. Go for a walk in the sun and watch other people enjoying life.
Maybe the reason others avoid you is your mood. Sour moods are contagious...but so are smiles! :)
