Well...speaking as someone who didn't drink in college cause I didn't want to....
If these people are your friends...I would re-evaluate my friends. First..drinking is personal choice, not a group choice. Everyone is different, with different tolerence for liquor.
I drink at home only...I drink beer cause I know anything stronger and I can not stand up straight. I am a truck driver so I know I can not have anything out on the road, too many lives are at stake.
I dont know what you major is, but if your future is important to you...follow the rules and find better, more supportive friends.
One course of action you may want to persue is talking to one of these people who is more sympathetic than the others. See if you can get them to back off a bit. Another possiblility is to offer your service as the designated driver...you can have fun watching them get blitzed...and you wont have to.
Good luck!

what are you majoring in, islam? pregnancy? I've never heard of a major that won't let you drink.
As for the drinkers... the simple reality is that life has lots of little sociological 'games' that creatures play. If you were a male deer, you would butt heads in the springtime; it doesn't accomplish much but the 'cool' deer is the one who butts the hardest. Drinking is the same thing in humans. It serves to separate and prove. That said, you can still 'prove' that you're good enough by posessing other qualities that impress people (confidence, good looks, wit, money). It might piss you off that some of these things (like looks) are largely out of your control but understanding the realities of life is important. Once you understand the reality, you can decide how you want to deal with it. (Many people deal with things that they don't compete in by puting it down which takes away the power of the people who worship those qualities).

I'm in college and it seems like everyone goes out and drinks, but I don't either. However, that doesn't mean that you can't still go out with them. I hang out with my friends while they drink and am ususally the DD. It is a good plan anyways. Good luck :)

Drinking is over-rated. If you don't want to you shouldn't do it. There are lots of people around who don't drink. Check out the cafes rather than the bars.

First depends on your age, if caught underage you will get in trouble if caught. Be yourself, don't let you friends make you anything you feel is uncomfortable.

Do what I do, go and have a sprite with a cherry in it, it's way cooler than the real thing and nobody will ever be the wiser.
