I'm an RA at my college, and I was wondering why college kids are so sleepy? When I'm living at school I can sleep a constant 12 hours everynight, even if I don't have classes for the day. Why is this so?

College kids get so board in school because all the stuff they learned is boring. ZZZZZZZZZZZ!

It's Called being tired by osmosis.
since i am sure half of the building is actually up most of the night studying, the other half is Partying, so the fact they they are exposed to each other cancels the bodies natural energy. Hence being tired all the time.
Even if you are a visitor to a college campus and are there for more than 5 hours You will also get tired !
same thing used to happen when i used to visit my wife at her college campus. hehe

All the studying and the stress drain you out. Believe me I am having the same problem. Sometimes I will sleep for 12 hours and wake up still tired.

Because they wait until the last min for all studying and assignments. They are sleepy from all night cram-a-thons.
