Those are all new movies. All the Halloween movies(Mike Meyers), Night Of the Demons 2, Saw, Child's Play the Original(It was scary when I was young) Scary movies are so predictable now a days. Dolls. There is this movie munchies it was funny to me but I think it was suppose to be a scary movie. I can go on for hours, my mother has the ultimate scary movie collection from way back.

Scary as in part of the genre, I like the classics, anything with Boris Karloff (Frankenstein and the Mummy), Bela Lugosi (Dracula), or Lan Cheney Jr (The Wolfman).

Scary as in something that actually will give me nightmares, something based on reality is what does it for me - dealing with nature or war. Here are 3, although the last one technically isn't a movie.

1) The Edge - Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin get chased through Alaska by a killer grizzly

2) Jaws - Has anybody ever gone for a swim, even in freshwater, within a week of seeing this one?

3) a National Geographic documentary on man-killer wolves of India. Some unknown animal was killing children in India - even daring to enter peoples huts and take kids from their bed at night. Several police officers were killed by local villagers who believed they were somehow in league with the beast - described as manlike with glowing eyes, long fangs and claws. The National Geographic film crew was also threatened by the villagers. A part of India where there are no tigers, in the end it was discovered that a pack of wolves was killing the children. Just the way this documentary was filmed, more like a horror film - makes for a viewing that'll raise the hair on the back of your neck!

The Ghost and the Darkness scared the crap out of me. Especially those attack scenes at night?? Jesus!

Not the scariest, but it hasn't been mentioned yet so I thought I'd throw it in the mix.

My scariest:

1) The Ring - scary well girl
2) The Sixth Sense
3) Nightmare on Elm Street - the one with the Nurse and the hospital, don't remember which one, but that one freaked me out big time!

#1- The Exorcist I remember crying and running out of the room while my mom and brother watched this when I was about 12. I have still never watched it all the way through.

#2- Nightmare on Elm Street- as an older teen I was still terrified by an evil presence that could attack us when we were most vulnerable.

#3- Salem's Lot (the original)- the glowing, yet dead eyes in the dark windows?! I still need heavy curtains.
