Has any lady out there ever failed a blood pregnancy test with period being at least 6 days late and still been pregnant? If yes, how late were you? how far along were you when the test finally showed positive? Sorry for all the questions, but I just can't accept the fact that I'm not pregnant. Believe me this isn't the first time I've thought I was pregnant (been trying for many years) and I believed the tests when they came back negative. But this time it's different. I don't really feel any symptons in my body but I feel it in my heart. Any positive stories may help me either deal with or accept the test.
oh by the way, I believe that I experienced implantation bleeding from 9/16 to 9/19, 6 days before my period was due. It was very light spotting brownish mucous (sorry tmi). I have never experienced this before. I am sure it wasnt an early period. I have never started early in my life. Plus I take metformin which regulates my periods every 28days like clockwork

Pregnancy & Parenting
➔ Trying to Conceive
Sometimes the anticipation of pregnancy can cause delayed menstruation, it happened to me about a year into ttc my first child. I was so sure one month, but had neg tests and eventually got my period 2 weeks late (was always regular too). Rarely ectopic pregnancies won't result in a + test, but of course would have all the symptoms of a normal pregnancy.
On the other hand, I know a woman who had neg tests and insisted on an ultrasound, and a yolk sack, but no baby were found. She was sure they were wrong about the 'blighted ovum'. She was told she would miscarry/have a period within a few weeks, she didn't. She kept feeling pregnant, and after weeks called her OB/GYN. After finding nothing, they scheduled her for a D & C a couple of weeks later. She asked for an ultrasound right before "just to be sure" and lo and behold, she was 16 weeks pregnant! They were even able to tell her that she was having a baby girl. The baby had failed to show up on ultrasound earlier because of her tipped uterus. And they never could give her a good reason why she had the negative tests at what would have been 8 weeks pregnant.
I am telling you this not to give you false hope but just to let you know that strange things happen, I wish the best for you.

Only a messager so please don't be hurt by this news. Because I have had many female problems having to do with periods and trying to get pregnant when I was married, I am sorry to say hon, but you are not pregnant. The implanation bleeding for those three days, was a period, being why you haven't gotten on this month yet. Don't be surprised if you get an actual one on the 16th, like clockwork. Sorry.

I am not really sure if you can have a false negative blood test, but I have had a false positive one. When I was 18 I had really sharp pains in my stomache that would not stop. I went to the ER and they took blood. They told me I was pregnant. They tried a regular ultrasound and found nothing so they then did one of those internal ones and still found nothing. Come to find out I was not pregnant, just had really high HCG blood level. (Still to this day have no idea what the problem was, they sent me home not knowing either) So, I guess if it is possible for me to have a false positive, it is possible for you to have a false negative

No I'm sorry there is very little chance of you being pregnant. However there are times when you want to be pregnant so bad that you give yourself the symptoms of pregnancy. I know that's what happened to me last month. I wanted to be pregnant so badly that I had myself convinced. And that conviction made my period late.
Stress is the number one cause of why some women's period doesn't show up on time. Go ahead and relax. If it doesn't show up by next week call your doctor.

Light spotting has occurs during use of metformin. Pregnancy also may occur with metformin use. Yes, 6 weeks late and getting a negative pregnancy test also occurs often.

i think it is highly unlikely that a blood test is wrong, especially that late in the game. by now, a home pregnancy test should say positive, let alone a blood test. the HCG hormone would be very detectable now. i don't know why your period is being weird, but i don''t think youre preggo. sorry. keep us updated though!

If they were not correct labs might be close down through many inspection businesses. Sorry dude, there are soooo many controls to be certain the whole lot is correct it is not even humorous. So my reply is sure they're ninety nine.nine% correct and if it is not correct it is considering the fact that of infrequent human mistakes, now not the checking out gear.
