What are some of the ancient myths and taboos of twins? Particularly in ancient Egypt.

well they say that twins share the same pain one gets hurt the other feels it thier are books on it and stuff im not really sure what else but thats all iv heard

Well in Haiti and in the vodou religion twins are a good thing. You have been blessed twice as much as anyone else. The Marassa are the divine twins. They are the most powerful lwa and also the only ones that have not been human. They are represented as children. St. Cosmos and Damien are the saint representation.

To have twins meant that one child was good and the other evil. Twins were considered a sign of the devil, so usually they killed the weaker (or female) child by leaving it out in the open to starve to death or be eaten by animals. They considered it to be the sharing of a soul and thus the evil part should be destroyed.
