Your question does not fall under Beauty and Style, but I would recommend a gift certificate for House cleaning, or Yard work. This will help the home owners alot, and not have to worry about
those extra details

Well depending on how well you know the person... anything from coffee cups to candles to nice bed sheets. House warming gifts are gifts you give someone to help fill his/her house with items they will need and haven't bought yet. Make sure it is nothing too tacky, but everything and anything is appreciated.

A tasteful vase full of flowers.
Flowers give the new house a nice look.
The vase becomes a part of the decor

Any small aplliance is nice. New glasses, towels, pots & pans. You can also make a nice basket with coffee mugs, can of coffee, assorted teas, gourmet crackers, stuff like that. If not coffee, you can go with a nice wine basket filled with crackers, assorted cheeses, butcher block with knife/spreader, etc.. I think that's different.

Try a scented candle by Yankee...The large jar candle in a nice homey scent like home sweet home, or apple pie, will make them feel comfy in their new place instantly! To add to the jar, you could purchase a cute holder to hang it on any wall!

Wood for the fireplace or a nice portable heater?
This one is a no-brainer, just up my alley, anything
useful or ornamental for the new house!

Hi Chic,

I find that a scented candle with a stand, or glass holder always works best.
And if you know the color of any room you can compliment with color, scent & stand. I hope this works & have a good day!
