if your a teen and your dad goes months on end not calling (divorced family) then calls and says i wanna see you, would you risk seeing him and suffering again till the next time (which could take months)or tell him you want to see him more often or never considering your mom is remarried and your step-father is awesome? i guess i just have some loyalty issues. dont want my dad to think i like my step better signed confused. but it hurts when my dad is not consistant. please no mean answers

Somehow let him know that you want him (your Dad) in your life all the time. You Dad and step-Dad are two different people and they have two different roles, there is no competition.
Please remember that it is your Dad's job to stay in your life, he is the parent, not yours to make sure he stays.

Talk to your father tell him exactly what you said here either more time or no time tell him how it makes you feel and do not mention the great step father because it will hurt his feelings however be thankful you do have a step dad that is so good to you.. Good Luck

I would see my dad and tell him that it really confuses you and hurts u when he only chooses to see you when it suits him
You are a teen and need a father, not a guy who pops in and out when it suits his timetable
Tell him you love him but if he really loved you he would make more of an effort to see you
Also tell him that although you like your stepdad you only have one dad, him

i think you should tell your dad how you feel, but don't cut off contact. you may want to see him later in life.
in the mean time, try not to think about him too much, focus on your family now (sometimes stepdads end up being closer to you than real ones)

how good is your relationship with your father? if he is no good , he beat your mom ,then do see him if you relation with him is good and you know he will hurt you, then you can.
