Well in my mind I was kind of right. I decided to buy a large pizza from Domino's sense I wanted to try the brownies. Well he actually dropped the brownies in the floor, the package did not open which I was glad. Then I gave him $40.00 dollars and I had to pay $23.00, he was trying to give me change and had trouble figuring out how much he had to give back until I told him he needs to give me $17.00 dollars back. Then he had trouble finding tens, fives, and one dollar bills. Which he spread the money in the floor. I closed my door and didn't give him tip.
When I open my pizza it looked really flat, horrible. It was cold the only thing that was warm was the brownies. The pizza took 40 minutes or more to be delivered. So should I feel guilty? Or was I right?

The fact that this small issue is on your mind proves your actually a good person.
It seems the facts of this incident are on your side.
Tipping is nice, but doesn't suppose to be automatic, should be earned!
I'm afraid you should work much harder to get yourself a "bad person" badge... ;-)
Take it easy, and order some other pizza next time.

No you are not a bad person at all. Most places (I don't know about Domino's) charge a delivery fee anyway. I usually tip, but sometimes I do not blame people for not tipping.
Last time I had a pizza delivered (this past Friday), the total was only $23.90 (there were only two of us) so I gave the girl $27.00. I thought this was enough. We had finished eating and she came back. She said that we had shorted her. The total was 29.95 with the delivery fee of $2, so we shorted her. I don't know why she thought $23.90 + $2.00 was $29.95 but I didn't go into that. I was very nice to her and called the pizza place. They said the total was $23.90 and I had them talk to her. She said she felt dumb and left. I told her there was no problem. I still can't figure out what the mistake was. I know that cannot be a real easy job, but.....come on.

It seems as though you were justified in this case. - I even worked in the business for 10 years.
For the jerk saying that he can't tip because he's on SSI.
Go pick it up yourself. You can afford $15 - $20 worth of pizza but can't come up with $1 - $2 for a tip? Who are you, sitting home SSI to decide wether a working man gets paid or not?
You really are a thoughtless a$$hole.
PS- average tip is about $2.80, "once or twice a day" = $56 - $112 a month. That doesn't make it right.

It's okay, it doesn't make you a bad person.
I usually do give a 20 percent or better tip, because pizza delivery persons work for low wages and they count on those tips. I do gauge my tip on my snap impression of their demeanor. Do they make eye contact, are they friendly? I mean, I have to go by something. If my pizza arrives way late, it is because the pizza parlor has given the delivery person too many deliveries -- they are either short-staffed that day or too cheap to hire more delivery persons. Either way, it's not really the delivery person's fault. So, I go with my sense of the personality of whoever rings my doorbell.

No, you aren't a bad person. He didn't seem like a very good delivery guy. Everyone makes mistakes, but those were a lot of mistakes.
You would be a bad person if you didn't tip because you were too cheap, which isn't the case.
One time my ex-boyfriend and I ordered pizza. It was raining really hard and the guy got to the house pretty quick. He was really friendly, just a really nice guy, and my ex got all bent out of shape and didn't tip the guy. He was already gone by the time I realized it. I felt really bad.

The bad pizza and side dishes was not the fault of the delivery guy, but if he was irresponsible about the delivery itself, they you have every right to not tip him. He should only be given a tip for the great service he is to provide. So don't feel guilty. Call the pizza company and tell them what you thought.

no don't feel bad. i stopped ordering from a certain pizza company because every time i ordered from them it too like and hour and a half to get my order to me and they would always forget something in my order. i would never tip the delivery guy and i complained to to the company so many times hoping it would change and it never did. so don't feel bad at all. if some one gives you crappy service don't tip them, and i used to be a waitress and i know if i gave crappy service i didn't deserve a good tip.

well its not bad, bad the feeling is, in my opinion you should've at least like a dollar because maybe its his first time. the other point of view is he knew he did a crappy job so why expect a tip from you, especially from a girl. the best solution is at least give something and appreciate the effort(if there is)

If they dont like the money they get for their jobs then they shouldnt take it in the first place and go flipping burgers but tiping every guy for its job its just stupid.
Why dont you tip a cop when he gives you a ticket? he risk his life for you, why not? -_-
I tip when they earn it doing something BEYOND his job, something they are not getting paid for, if they do that i tip.
