When I put on mascara, no matter what I do.... I always end up with my right eyelashes turning out perfect and curled... but I always have trouble with my left eye. No matter how long I hold them in the eyelash curler then no matter how perfect I apply my mascara.... they NEVER curl like my right eye! I need help!!
Also what is the best mascara to use? I use Revlon Lash Fantasy now... it's one where you put on the white first... then the actual mascara.... and how often should I change my mascara?
thanks for the help!

This used to happen to me too, and then I realized there was a small difference in the angle of my fingers and wrist while curling. I'm right handed and my right eye always looked great but the left eyelashes would bend into each other a little towards center face.
Once I noticed the difference I had to remember to twist my holding position a little to my left to get those lashes straight. Now it is like muscle memory to me. :)
I've tried lots of mascaras but I love Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. IMHO it doesn't get any better. Also replace your mascara every 3 months due to bacteria buildup in the tube. Mascara lasts longer if you twist the wand. Never pump it up and down to get it coated. The bacteria grows quicker that way as more air is pushed in.

are you applying your mascara first, then curling them? If you are, maybe you are not letting your left lashes dry completely before you curl them...that may be the reason why they are unable to curl. nonetheless, makeup artists say that you should curl your lashes FIRST then apply mascara to avoid breaking or pulling lashes. However, if you make sure your eyelash curler is clean prior to curling lashes, I have found that it doesn't matter when you decide to curl them. The best mascara's are by Maybelline...especially the famous Great Lash which is a typical beauty staple of makeup artists. Right now I am using Maybelline's Intense Length and Volume XXL...it works wonders and enhances my long lashes beautifully...it also made them thicker on the outer area of my eyes where lashes tend to be sparse. You are supposed to switch mascaras every 3 months no matter how "juicy" it still is. Lots of bacteria can build up which is bad news for your eyes.

Well this is probably NOT GOOD advise. I'm 48yrs old and I have used this. I always have trouble curling my eyes lashes. No matter what I do they are always staight like there isn't enough GLUE STUFF {i don't know} to keep them the way you want them I have used mascara up to the price of $17.00
(I didn't buy it my boy friend did) and still have this problem.
So there is a trick but it is rather ridiculous and it could be harmful, SOOOOO PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT AND IF YOU DO TRY IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL not to get anything in your eyes.
Put a thin layer of mascara on then take a cotton swab(Q-tip) or a cotton ball, lightly dip into a small pile of Baby powder Talc (not aloe that will CLUMP),Corn starch BABY POWDER will work quicker but it is hard to find. Puff it on your lashes.{Don't put powder on your eye lashes with out mascara it will take the moister out of your lashes which can cause them to break (crack)
THEN Curl then emediatley ,apply more mascara. Take your finger tip and keep pushing up on the lashes as to train them to stay in this possition, Then Curllllllllllllllllll Kurllllllllll Curllllllll
HOLD THE CURLER FOR A WHILE
Also don't ever be in a hurry curling your eye lashes, My thumb sliped out and really really ripped out half of my lashes it hurt like ya no wat, BUT THEY DO GROW BACK IN FULL
BUT THE WORST WITH THAT EXPERIECE WAS?
I WAS ON MY WAY FOR A JOB INTERVIEW (not funny then but f/a/f now)
Oh I did get the job.

I have the same problem.
First, I curl my eyelashes with a curler. Hold the end of the curlers in your hand after you stick them in warm water (If you use hot water, you may burn your eyelid).
Second, apply lengthing mascara to your eyelashes. Before the mascara dries, comb them out with a eyelash comb.
Finally, apply a curling mascara after you comb out your eyelashes.
Let it dry. Hopefully this works for you.
I use Maybelline mascara for step number 2.
I use Covergirl mascara for step number 3.
You shouldn't keep mascara or any eye makeup for more than 3 months.

u should changed ur mascara every 2-3 months. i really like maybelline great lash mascara! it doesnt clump and it makes my eyelashes so long!i have had the same problem with having a perfect right eyelash, and a not so great left eyelash..try the great lash mascara,it worked for me, and fixed the problem. when applying it, blink, stroke and shift the brush from side to side (only side to side when doing bottom lashes) to get the perfect look! hope this helps...good luck!

I use covergirl volume express and it works great, it might help. Also you should try putting your mascara on down on the top of your lashes then up, it makes them more even.

i think with mascara its every 3 months you change it.
have you looked at your lashes without mascara on them, just natural?
maybe the right side curls more than the left

Imperfections are the main ingredient in attractiveness.
I'd bet your attitude is more of a turn off than your slightly uncurled lashes.
