that if you planted enough on the moon you could generate enough oxygen to sustain life? and how would that affect the moons atmosphere?

You would not be able to plant any kind of plant life on the moon because the moon is a very dry and rocky place. No place for water or so on. A plant can live with very little oxygen but a plant can not live in cold temperatures and without any oxygen. Also, water is important for a plant to survive and if you find water on the moon, please let me know.

Plants can't live in a vacuum. The Moon has no atmosphere. Some may say that scientists have reported it does have a thin atmosphere, but thin is an understatement. It is thinner than the air in a good vacuum chamber on Earth and can be considered a vacuum for all practical purposes.
