I have a friend, a 38 year old man, fairly good looking, born in India, settled in the USA, a computer engineer, intelligent, well educated, and makes good money. He thinks that white American ladies will not marry him, because of the difference in the culture and race. If he were to propose to you, would you marry him or not. As you know, this is only a survey.

If I were dating a good man who proposed to me, I wouldn't care what his culture or race was. That doesn't matter to me or to most people I know. However, I'm Canadian not American, but I imagine that a lot of American women feel the same way I do. So, as long as we cared for each other, of course I would say yes!

For the chance to have one of those fine Indian weddings, absolutely! As long as he's truly settled here and wouldn't expect me to move with kids back to India to be closer to his family. With the differences in culture, you'd just have to be sure to lay down some ground rules so nobody had unrealistic expectations for behavior or lving arrangements.

No i would not marry him. better to be truthful than for him to be used cause he makes good money and has a good job. lesser woman may take him just for that. and thats not fair to him.
My reason for no. is i have been down that road. not with a indian man but an arabic man. And its too drastic culture clashes religion clashes, we think different than they do and they have there beliefs too. and marriage even with your own race is hard enough .

It depends on his personality and how well we get along...You can be from the US and still not be able to get along with anyone whether you have money, intelligent, or well educated. None of that matters if you two can't seem to get along....Its all about love...Not what you can offer....There are many interracial relationships in the US so being from India would not matter....

I'm in the UK but since we're only pretending....
If I met and fell in love with someone who loved me then their culture and race wouldn't make the slightest difference. If we could have a strong partnership based on mutual respect, of course I'd say yes.

It would all depend on how he treated me. Having a good job is good but really that does not bring a couple happiness. It would be all about how I feel when I am around him and how well he treats me. If he treats me good and is a very loving man then yes I would marry him.

If I loved him, or anyone then yea. But I'm only 14 so I doubt that my opinion counts that much. But if people won't marry him because of cultural differences then they weren't the one for him.

I would say yes if the question was based on a faithful and committed relationship. I don't know think that culture or ethnicity should be a factor in relationships, it matters who you are underneath.

Presuming the 'getting-to-know-you' process is done, we've known each other for quite sometime, and our age-gap is not wide- I'd say yes to the proposal. As long as I really like him of course. (:
There's no place for racism in the word, 'love'.
