Do not worry...
Little lizards like Geckos are helpful to your home and will not harm a thing...
They will stay out of your way cause they don't like you any more than you like them...
They eat insects and crumbs that have fallen on the floor...
I wouldn't worry...
They will be out of sight and never hurt a thing...
As for leaving your doors and windows open as one person suggests, that's absurd...
Please do not fret about it...
No harm is being done...
There is probably more in your house that you didn't see get in...LOL...

In the morning it will be resting behind a picture or some dark place. This is generally the case with all lizards. A great majority of them are nocturnal and if it went up the wall, it is a gecko of some type. Don't worry it won't do anything except hunt a few bugs to eat that you didn't want anyway. It will eventually find its way to the bathroom or kitchen to get a drink and you may even catch it there.

I would leave it there. If it's happy it will stay, otherwise it will leave. The lizard will eat any bugs that happen to come into your house, especially those pesky spiders that tend to come out and bite while you're sleeping. I ahve 2 House Geckos and one got out a couple days ago. I saw it once going after a spider. It ate it and ran away once it saw me. Have no clue where he's hiding, but told to let him be and he'll eat those bug fortunate enough to bless my house.

Lizards wont do you anyhard unless posinous. They are very gentle animals. Just catch the lizard. I would recommend live crickets. You can get it at a pet shop. Then catch the lizard and keep it or sell it if u want. Lizards are like 100-250 dollars these days. Whhooo =]

Walk into every room in your house and be noisy. It should run when you get close to it. Lizards are very valuable in the garden so don't kill it. I live in Arizona and every so often one gets in my house. I take a glass and put it over the lizard (lots of running) and it will eventually crawl up the side and you can then put it outside. They eat a lot of pesky bugs.

Just leave a window open and the lizard will see himself out. He may stick around for a while and eat any bugs you may have inside, but once they're gone, he'll leave.

Don't do anything. Lizards help keep your home free from insects, so you should treat it like a pet.

Walk around half asleep in the middle of the night. That's how I caught my hamster once when it got loose... Ran right in front of me and scared me to death!
