It will be fine for a day and then start up again. On and of on and off. Everything is plugged in. What could be the problem?

It is probably the display setting that goes into 'sleep' mode too soon and you can't wake it up without rebooting.
Go to MY Computer >>>> Control Panel >>>> Display >>> Monitor Power and set it for a more realistic time.

My best advice is to replace the monitor post haste! The shutting off could be a bad power supply, which coud start a fire.

Can you move the mouse or keyboard and the screen turns back on? or is it completely off?

It might just being dark and not shut off, you can set the screen to go off after a certain amount of time. As long as your puter don't shut off/on all the time, no need to worry. You shouldn't have your screen on 24/7 anyways, thats hard on it.

Check and see if your monitor is plugged in properly. If that doesn't help, you might have a virus in your system. Run a virus scan and see. Who knows? You might be going blind.
