Seinfeld. What an insult it is too compare rubbish like Friends to Seinfeld. Friends relied to much as a soapy **** and required no brains to understand it's humour.

Seinfeld.
While Friends was certainly a more accessible show, Seinfeld was more thoughtfully constructed, and there's no question to whether or not it's the more intelligent show.
Friends relied on contrived scenarios set-up to invoke typical comedic responses, using characters that were as one dimensional as their punch-lines . . . the same six jokes re-told season after season after season.
Seinfeld, on the other hand, was as stimulating as it was original, and Cosmo Kramer was fuller and far more stylized character than Joey Tribbiani could have ever hoped to be.
